About Us
Williamstown-Williams Township Community Ambulance was founded in June of 1964. In 1993, the name was shortened to Williamstown Area EMS, Inc and has been called that ever since. While striving to meet the needs of the residents of Williamstown Boro & Williams Township, we are able to respond to about 400 emergency 9-1-1 calls each year. Ever since the founding of our organization, we have always been able to staff each ambulance with members that are proud to be called volunteers. Our organization is the only EMS company in the Upper Dauphin County area that is fully staffed by only volunteers. We are one of only three companies in the entire Dauphin County Region that are considered 100% volunteer.
We operate one (1) Ford E-450 Osage ambulance and one (1) F-450 Osage ambulance that are always in perfect condition. To take a look at our fleet, please click on the "Apparatus" link on the left column.
In May 2009 the company got there new ambulance which is a 2009 Type I F-450 warrior 4WD made by Osage. It is the only 4X4 ambulance in the entire Upper Dauphin County area. The organization decided to purchase a 4X4, rather than using chains, to be able to transport & get to our residents safer and faster.
